Advice For Life Quotes

“Today, spend a little time cultivating relationships offline. Never forget that everybody isn't on social media.”

“We are looking for value, guidance, advice, inspiration; for someone to show us the way. When we find him, he is our hero”

“There are so many "tools for life" that you are going to hear about, every day. But obviously I tell my son what I believe in most of all. I always tell my son, "The wheels that are going to get you through daily life are two things: Humour and Wit. Add a cup of humour and a cup of wit to every hour of your life and these are the wheels that will keep you turning." Humour and Wit. Remember that.”

“Instead of hating someone, pray for that person. Don't forget to pray for yourself as well, that you may learn how to let go and forgive.”

“If I have one piece of advice to give you all about what to search for in your quest for What Next, it's to find where the line blurs between hard work and happiness for you. To find that thing where working hard at it makes you happy, and where you're happy to work hard at it.”

“I've never had a moment when I thought: "Tom, you've made it!", and I don't think I want to, because that feels like you've reached the end; that you've crossed the finish line. But to me there is no end. An achievement is not a finish line; it's a checkpoint on a far greater journey. It's a moment to pause, to take a breath and look back and enjoy what you've experienced and be grateful for it, but then to turn around and look towards the next checkpoint, the next achievement.”

“To say nothing is saying something. You must denounce things you are against or one might believe that you support things you really do not.”

“To keep life in his desolate, long-suffering soul, he had stored his mind with much profound learning. So now many poor devils went to him for advice, which he never refused though he gave it sadly. It was always the same: ‘Do the best you can, no man can do more—but never stop fighting. For us there is no sin so great as despair, and perhaps no virtue so vital as courage.”

“No matter how dysfunctional your background, how broke or broken you are, where you are today, or what anyone else says, YOU MATTER, and your life matters!”

“I do not judge the quality of my work by the feedback obtained from the masses, for if the masses knew how to judge wisely, would not have supported so much madness throughout human history; I judge my work through the many attacks the devil launches on me, by using possessed souls during the process of creation, and the viciousness of such attacks. It is in the most poisonous insults that I find the elixir of my self-worth.”

“God always opens new doors in the darkest rooms. Those doors are called miracles and the dark rooms are called fears. And you may think that you can push this darkness away with the light of knowledge, but you will never have enough knowledge, if not impelled by the force of faith. Therefore, one can say that knowledge increases confidence in the future, but it is with faith that we can create any multitude of futures, including the ones we considered impossible or did not even consider.”

“God blesses us with so many gifts that it is, in a way, ungrateful of us to suffer. We can use our efforts, resilience, persistence, as well our capacity to dream and envision, to apply faith to our journey and reach our goals despite any momentary barriers or difficult outcome we may face. Ultimately, time and freedom are more important than anything else and both can’t be taken from us. When you pray, you take the freedom to yourself and, when you live in hope, you gain time. That time may not be seen in the present but will come as a new future. And every loss reveals the potential for a greater victory. For there is no meaning in suffering for not having receivers to the fruits of our creation. Likewise, we should not suffer when we are receivers of what is created.”

“Happiness is not possible without hope; hope is not possible without discipline; discipline demands consistent action; consistency depends on order; order only exists when motivated by faith; an overwhelming faith depends on belief; and, belief can only come from love. In other words, only you can make yourself happy. If you are willing to stand still when your mind is restless, you can begin this journey towards the ultimate understanding of what makes life what it is.”

“Hate not the one who has ridiculed you or insulted you, on purpose or by default, for he is a victim of stupidity, blind by his own actions. Such an individual suffers from ignorance in ways that the mockery blinds you to see. But doubt not, that all ignorance manifested in the form of insults and segregation, is paid by the one who charges through you his own karmic token.”

“I saw a little child throwing pillows on the floor and screaming, and soon later picking up those same pillows to listen to a story her mother was reading in a coffee shop. However, after a few minutes, the child started crying again, this time, not throwing any pillows on the floor, but simply demanding to go somewhere else, leading her mother to promptly obey. And that's when I realized, there was nothing wrong with that child, but with the culture. For the adults of this country behave in the same way. They complain when they can't get what they want, and once they do, they manipulate others to get more. It is not a cultural trait as much as it is not an educational issue. It's, pretty much, a problem of mass imbecility. You cannot expect an adult, that never grew up, to educate a child or provide her with a culture in which she can, herself, mature. And that's why in certain countries, there is the illusion that you are dealing with adults and children, when in fact you are only dealing with children. When these children become fed up of crying and demanding, and throwing pillows on the floor, they commit suicide, simply because they are fed up of being irresponsible and unaccountable for their actions. They don't need psychologists, but violence. And the violence they get, in many forms, from neighboring nations wanting to destroy them; for nobody wants to deal with adults behaving like immature children. The infantilization of a nation is only one of the traits contributing to its downfall, but probably one of the most important.”

“I thought I could make a narcissist repent, accept responsibility and understand the implications of her behavior, and that's how I wasted years of my life driving myself insane with endless explanations that were disregarded as much as any emotions behind them, because, for the narcissist, without empathy but driven by hate, everything that hurts the ego is an insult. And that's when I realized the narcissist was simply gaslighting me into oblivion.”

“I only need to look at the heart and soul of a human being to know the nature of such individual; I don’t really care about what goes on in the mind, as the mind is usually confused and lost, and without the heart will never find itself. The heart can only find peace when the soul is manifesting itself through it. And the soul has all the keys to the nature of the individual, far much more than what the individual can see when using the mind. And that is why, to the dismay of many, I seem to know them better than they know themselves. I do know them better, because I know their soul, while they only know their mind.”

“I believe that what the vast majority of the masses call life is just fiction. A therapist's work ends up being trying to bring them into nonfiction. Although I feel that many are just replacing a novel by another. Too many people tell me: 'Why do you talk like you know the truth? There is no truth'. It is as if they felt that I'm destroying their inner world by being direct. They feel the need to project a defense mechanism to protect it. Another common phrase is: 'You don't know me better than I know myself'. This one is also interesting. Because it is as if the person was saying: 'You don't know my novel better than I do because I am the author of it.’ Life pretty much follows the same principles — gravity, air, water, fire, weight, hight; all of which is represented in maths, physics, and other sciences. But most people these days consider a personal attack when you make them observe something that may touch their inner world. It's the oversensitivity paradox in which we live today, for people want to feel more alive but are afraid to live at the same time. Allegorically speaking, they need to float like a bubble of steel. And many times they are perfectly fine in discussing others' issues until those issues are projected at them for self-analysis. Quite often, we are not really talking to a human being, but to his alter-ego. There's not much difference between the real self and the alternate version of that self for such person. And how ironic when both the therapist and the patient play the same game from different perspectives. This is why people don't want the truth anymore, but an alternate version of reality where they can merge themselves as if they were merely a chemical solution melting with another. They are too afraid of the truth because they have often been hurt when trying to find it. However, the concept of truth merges with the personality of the individual. And that is why having a personality is now an outdated concept, often falling into the realm of the abstract — Everything is relative, everything is fine, and everyone is everything you can decide for yourself. So why live if life has no meaning? Well, life does have a meaning, but won't be found by running away from it.”

“Humanity seems to be losing the basic elements that make humans human, i.e., empathy, compassion, moral, sense of logic, etc. In this way, anyone who has developed such attributes by moral conduct, religious practice and meditation, has become, by default, superior to the masses. These individuals have also been upgraded by differentiating themselves, for the spiritual world always chooses those who can more easily convey an abstract message transmitted in vibration through the heart.”

“Humanity has always been controlled by two sides and never did its accomplishments been ignored but overseen and manipulated by those in power. The truth, however, is never accepted by the ones who keep on paying the price for the untruths they embrace. In doing so, they keep the most important truths hidden from themselves, for their level of consciousness cannot go beyond their ego — the belief that they have not been massively fooled.”

“Human beings always analyze reality in linear forms due to how the human mind perceives time and sequences, and learning. But, actually, reality is multi-dimensional, and not possible for the human mind to fully grasp. The human mind is like a very old computer that can't really process so much. On the other hand, it is also a mystery how the spirit is superior to the mind, for it is as if the mind, in itself, was a trap. Whenever you think of yourself as a product of your mind, you have automatically subverted the potential of your own existence.”

“How much is your life worth? If you have low self-esteem, your life is cheap and everything related to improving it sounds expensive. Even one book sounds expensive to a very poor soul that prefers to spend money on alcohol, cigars and other addictions. It is only when you have self-worth that you have the determination and will to pay any price for your spiritual freedom and persist along any path that will take you there.”

“How much can you explore, before you forget the need for an answer? How many pleasures can you embrace, before your questions get neglected? Just imagine all the possibilities, because whatsoever you imagine, is most likely a possibility. Our imagination is not detached from reality, even if the reality of earth may not show it. The more you embrace your imagination, the less your questions make sense. Because, just like light and darkness, both, the questions emerging from material experience and the pleasure of imagining infinite possibilities, can’t coexist.”

“How many planets with life do you think there are? Would you like to live in all of them? Maybe, yes, or maybe, not! For those who don’t believe in alien life or don’t want to believe, or assume that aliens are exaggerated states of being that no human can comprehend, life on earth makes more sense to them. They see the meaning of their life in getting a good salary, a job others can respect, a nice colorful desk with a cheese cake waiting for them on top. And for those who believe, it often becomes a necessity more than a willingness. I.e, they want to escape earth, not realizing that alien life won’t be that different. Consciousness finds itself in both the similarities and the differences.”

“Earthlings tend to believe that they know the reality surrounding them, but such reality is in actuality just a mass schizophrenic manifestation supported by shadowing reflections of their own thoughts. It is not real unless agreed upon. And the more they keep themselves protected by their groups, to which they attach themselves based on emotional and psychological similarities and familiarities, the more arrogant they will become in such view of the world while detaching themselves further away from the truth. Life then becomes like an Asylum for souls who are ignorant of their ignorance, deluded in their own shared perceptions, and randomly wondering why the ghosts of their own reflections keep changing shape.”

“Follow the ones that have once traveled the same path you do, because history repeats itself. In every generation, we have exactly the same kind of people we had in the past, in new stages of expression. The ones that created the television represent now the ones creating the iPad, the one that created the first plane is now like the one making satellites, and the one that once travelled around the unexplored sea, is as the one now traveling around the unexplored space. If you learn from the ones that have done what you do, you can learn much in order to move faster in your field than anyone else.”
