Master Quotes

“The student asked: Master, how will I know if I am enlightened? The master replied: Put out the candle in your hand, if you can still see the surroundings, you are enlightened! The student asked: But master, I asked a serious question! The master answered: Then I will give a serious answer: If you have a question and you are not looking for the answer in others, then you are enlightened!”

“Everything we do in life is creating everything that’s coming. Our thoughts and our words become things manifest in our lives. Each time my Master sent me to the right place at the right time.”

“As you standing there looking, pointing or judging your neighbour by his fall did you ever think about yours?cause I know that fall is for everyone who living and sent for purpose cause the message & you must be tested and you need to know how it strong it is,how big your master is.Think about this, who can believe and trust untested service? that means it unfinish peace of work while your master call himself by Alfa and Omega which is beginning and the End that is our Living God.”

“The adjective “Faustian” describes the insatiable striving for the unattainable, the impossible, for all knowledge and all power, for the infinite and perfect. The Faustian human will bow to no tyrant God. He will worship no God. He will never be a slave, servant or serf. He will have no lord and no master. Religious people regard Faust as having “sold his soul to the Devil”. In fact, Faust liberated his soul from the Devil (the Abrahamic God) so that he himself could become a God.”

“Question : I FEEL I HAVE SURRENDERED TO SAI BABA, BUT STILL I FEEL THE NECESSITY OF WORKING WITH ANOTHER TEACHER OR GURU. IS THIS POSSIBLE? Osho : The first thing is to remember that the master really does not work. He is there, his presence works, but the presence can work only if you have trust. If you don't have trust, nothing can be done. So really, if you feel you have surrendered to Sai Baba, what is the need to come to me? If the surrender has really happened, then asking for another master is futile. I doubt your surrender, your trust, because when trust has happened nothing more is needed. It is good if you feel an intimate closeness with Sai Baba..But then don't wander here and there, then don't go to anybody else, because this is impossible. If you have surrendered then move to Sai Baba, open yourself to him so that he can work; then don't go seeking here and there. I am ready to help, but for that you will have to be receptive. If you trust me, something becomes possible. You cannot be forced into nirvana, you can only flow into it. There are many who go on wandering from one master to another. The total result may be simply confusion, because each master works in his own way, he has his own methods, and you go on accumulating information. That information is bound to be contradictory. Then you will get confused, you may even go insane. It is better to stick to one master and give your heart totally to him. If then nothing happens, move. But be finished with that master, don't be in an incomplete relationship. First go back to Sai Baba, be finished with him. Either you are transformed, then there is no need to find anyone; or Sai Baba is not your master, it is proved. Then come to me. And the same applies to my own disciples. If you are here with me, be finished with me. Be totally with me, so that either the mutation happens and then there is no need to find anyone or to go anywhere, or you come to realize, "This man is not for me." Then you can leave me totally, then you can move, then somewhere else.... But being here with me halfheartedly and then moving to someone else halfheartedly will not do. Rather, it may be dangerous. You may become so split, so divided, with so many voices in you, that you may become a crowd. Patience is needed. If you are totally devoted to one master the thing is bound to happen. And I would say that even if the master is not true, the thing can happen if you are totally devoted. Even if the master is false the happening is possible if you are totally devoted - because the happening doesn't happen through the master, it happens through total devotion. So even a dead master, or a master who has never been, just the name, will do. The real alchemy, the science of mutation, is within you. The master is at the most just a catalytic agent, nothing more. Go back to your own master and be with him. And don't try to judge him; you have got no way to judge anybody. All that you can do is give your total heart to him. And what have you got to lose? So why be so afraid? You have got nothing to lose, so why be so untrusting? Give yourself totally. Many times it has happened that a disciple was transformed through a master who was not a master at all. And many times the contrary has also happened: the master was true but the disciple was not transformed. The ultimate thing depends on you, not on me. You are the deciding factor. So wherever you go, make it a law: go with your total heart. Otherwise you will move with empty hands everywhere. And the more you move, the more you go to this master and that, the more there will be confusion, suffering, and finally you may decide that there exists no one who can transform you. Or, you may come to conclude that there is nothing like transformation, this is all hocus-pocus. And the reason will only be this - that you were never anywhere with your total heart.”

“Crime was my career. I considered myself a craftsman | a true professional. Everybody has a craft they practice. Clean or dirty, safe or dangerous, we all have a viable skill and a part to play in the enigma that comprises our world. A professional is a person who earns moneys for practicing their craft. Having labored many years and becoming experienced in a particular skill, you learn the gradations and eventually reach the title of master.”

“Another great Sufi Master, Bayazid Bistami, deliberately picked up and ate a piece of food, breaking his fast, during Ramadan (the month of fasting), in order to scandalize his students, and cause the unworthy to leave him alone. Very many well-read students of Sufism are highly familiar with stories such as this, but when they come across a Master who acts in unexpected and surprising ways, they run away. This is precisely the opposite of what all their reading taught them is the correct course of action in such situations.”

“That’s real love and real happiness. It’s when you go to sleep every night hoping that you are less happy than your lover; it’s hoping that you’ve given everything you could to them so that their day could be just a tiny bit better.”

“- Няма друго място като морето, господа. Тези, които цял живот изкарват на сушата, никога няма да го разберат. Морето е първично, понякога е жестоко, друг път - нежно, и никога - предсказуемо.”

“A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between her work and her play; her labor and her leisure; her mind and her body; her education and her recreation. She hardly knows which is which. She simply pursues her vision of excellence through whatever she is doing, and leaves others to determine if she is working or playing. To herself, she always appears to be doing both.”

“The internet is like everything that came before it, but so much more. More powerful than the greatest words ever written or spoken in any language, more powerful than any image or symbol ever seen, more powerful than hope or fear, more powerful than religion, faith itself, the totality of the human spirit. The invisible infinite that rules over our lives whether we want it to or not. But really, who doesn’t? Everyone wants a master, everyone needs some version of God.”

“Fate, I have a question," Max began. "Err, it's a bit awkward right now, but okay?" I squirmed beneath Verga, my face still shoved against the dirt. "What are you?" Max asked me this while holding Verga in his stare, ensuring the blue dragon didn't move. "I'm...a dragon?" I didn't see the point of this, and Max sighing with impatience was new to me. "Urgh, no. You're an idiot." Max huffed. "What are dragons famed for?" "I dunno. Being cryptic old bastards?!" I roared angrily, sick of this shit. "Lady Fate, what is your greatest weapon?" Max frowned. "My extensive fucking vocabulary and razor-sharp wit!" I wanted to cry. This was stupid. "Oh, for fuck’s sake, kid." Max roared. "BURN THE FUCKER!”
