Reflection On Life Quotes

“Medicinal Spirit, Inside Mirror Therapy becomes a harmony, and that harmony is built on levels, No one knows how to upscale another, for it has to come from the inside grails, Striking inflicts at the mirror and hatred to the being of creator, Causes hate in mirror too and abused flesh to the author, Changes come from its prudence and rationalism liberation, Not its pardon, A mirror is but a substance of a conscious, But identity says "let me fly" when journeying from the subconscious to the conscious.”

“Any day above ground is a good day. Before you complain about anything, be thankful for your life and the things that are still going well.”

“Bankrupt" One midnight, deep in starlight still, I dreamed that I received this bill: (- - - - IN ACCOUNT WITH LIFE - - - -): Five thousand breathless dawns all new; Five thousand flowers fresh in dew; Five thousand sunsets wrapped in gold; One-million snow-flakes served ice-cold; Five quiet friends; one baby's love; One white-mad sea with clouds above; One hundred music-haunted dreams Of moon-drenched roads and hurrying streams; Of prophesying winds, and trees; Of silent stars and browsing bees; One June night in a fragrant wood; One heart that loved and understood. I wondered when I waked at day, How—how in God's name—I could pay!”

“Sometimes I return back to the state of mind I had as a child when I believed nothing was impossible.”

“A quiet reflective mind is a wholesome mind. It is an inbound mind. This kind of mind is not only capable of deep contemplation – it is also capable of intense action. The centre of a cyclone is very quiet. It is from this centre that the cyclone attains its power. A revolving fan is still at the tip. It is here that motion is intensified to the point of stillness. A mind that has learnt to slow itself down is indeed a capable mind. For this, our minds need to periodically withdraw from the world of sensations. Like a tortoise withdraws its limbs into its shell – a sane mind goes inwards in search of its quiet centre.”

“There is more than one road to spiritual salvation. We discover a philosophical way of living by encountering the world, culling knowledge from all available resources, and thinking reverently about life.”

“Take time daily to reflect on how much you have. It may not be all that you want but remember someone somewhere is dreaming to have what you have.”

“As in Plato’s myth of the cave, some of us don't stay long enough in one single place, relationship, journey or country but that does not mean we evade reality or makes us unstable. It simply means, we are not very keen to entertain ourselves, for long periods of time, with the same old same old reflections or shadows on the wall, when aware of the existence of the sun; the price for enlightenment, solitude”

“I would think of certain winter nights when he wedged himself between Nona and me in bed, a furtive warmth embedded in his skin already tinctured with virginal earth and milk and possibility, or how that peculiar scent common to all small children before the age of five--sunshine sweetened hair, a nascent woodsiness in him exuding youthful exuberance--gripped us, suspended us eighties in the sense that our hope, our very survival, depended on the fulfillment of this child's dreams. How I took those years I spent for granted, believing them unalterable?”

“In the morning After taking cold shower —-what a mistake—- I look at the mirror. There, a funny guy, Grey hair, white beard, wrinkled skin, —-what a pity—- Poor, dirty, old man, He is not me, absolutely not. Land and life Fishing in the ocean Sleeping in the desert with stars Building a shelter in the mountains Farming the ancient way Singing with coyotes Singing against nuclear war— I’ll never be tired of life. Now I’m seventeen years old, Very charming young man. I sit quietly in lotus position, Meditating, meditating for nothing. Suddenly a voice comes to me: “To stay young, To save the world, Break the mirror.”

“At the different stages of recognition, reflection, and redress, practicing compassion provides potentially world-saving opportunities which otherwise likely would not exist.”

“Do we reflect on life? Someday this life will be gone.”

“One of the salient facts of a self is that a person is constantly undergoing a series of actions in the immediacy of time that they must later reflect upon and synthesize new experiences, thoughts, feelings, and mental impression along with their latent memories into a collaborative sense of being.”

“The purpose of life is to become acquainted with the deepest recesses of a person’s own mind by reflecting upon what a person reads, witnesses, and personally experiences. Wisdom is a form of power. Lacking knowledge of the world and without comprehending the essence of humanity, we can never know the truth of our own being.”

“You don’t understand this when you’re younger but at some point, you cease doing things, cease creating new memories,” he thought aloud. “You are stuck in a rocking chair. And all you have are your memories. Those beautiful droplets of color you’ve managed to steal from the rainbow. And you go back to them over and over and over, like a Catholic praying the rosary. You dig in deep, sifting through decades, years, seasons, weeks, hours, and seconds of your life, trying to figure out what it all meant. I wanted to come back to you. I wanted to see you in color, to grasp my own little rainbow.”

“Personal essay writing that incites the mind and instigates personal growth involves examination and re-examination, a process of noticing and reflecting upon what a person perceives. Essayistic writing is an osmotic process wherein a person intuitively absorbs information and ideas, allows inchoate thoughts to gestate in the unconscious mind, and then consciously places the emergent strands of language and logic into an orderly and expressive format.”

“Though the fire and water tried to overtake me, I have come out to a place of great abundance. I know that the fires of refinement, although hard, dark, and difficult, brought me to a better and richer place in God.”

“Parents build the foundation of our lives, and we go through our life feeling this is the way things are suppose to me. For the most part there’s positives surrounding us, so we never take the time to think about the sacrifices our parents have made to get us on our feet. Once their gone, heaven awaits, and their together. We wonder in complete reflection how they accomplished so much! We look back grateful and, fulfilled. I’m one of four siblings, and us four are mom, and dads’ greatest achievements. Thank you, Mom and Dad, and thank you Jesus. Amen.”
